BSRC Alexander Fleming is hosting the 6th LAS Modules Course (Webinar and Hands-on) in July 2026
A five-day intensive Course on laboratory animal science (LAS) is organized at the BSRC “Alexander Fleming”, in July 2026. The Course content includes the Core Modules and the Functions A, B, C, D Specific Modules, plus the additional Task Specific Module 20, as described in the Commission “Working Document on the development of a common education and training framework to fulfil the requirements under the Directive 2010/63/EU”.
The Modules represent the basic training for all personnel performing any of the Functions A-D of Article 23 (Directive 2010/63/EU) and Article 22 (P.D. 56/2013, national legislation). Completion of all Core Modules and Functions A, B, C, D Specific Modules is compulsory for staff performing procedures on animals (function A), designing procedures and projects (function B), taking care of animals (function C) or killing animals (function D). The theoretical component will be delivered live online via webinar (06–08 July 2026), followed by practical training conducted on-site at BSRC “Alexander Fleming” (09–10 July 2026).
